Figures identified in the group are: Sir John ANDERSON (1858-1918); Governor of the Straits Settlements and High Commissioner, Federated Malay States 1904-1911; (Sir) Henry Conway BELFIELD (1855-1923); Malay Civil Service 1884-1912; British Resident, Selangor 1902-1911; (Major Sir) Harry Hudson Fraser STOCKLEY (1878-1951); ADC to Sir John Anderson 1904-1910. (?) Dr Alfred Annesley WOODS (1868-); District Surgeon, Selangor 1904-1905; posts in Pahang, Negri [i.e. Negeri] Sembilan, Perak; retired circa 1923; Frecheville Joseph Ballentine DYKES (1868-); Inspector of Mines, Perak 1892-1893; Senior Warden of Mines 1903; retired 1910 and became Deputy Agent for the Malay States Information Agency.
