Scope and Contents

Comprises:- lease (162), release (163) and recovery (164) by John Hulse of Elworth, clerk, to George Lowe of Chester, gentleman, of the mansion house in Elworth, with its gardens, outhouses etc., lately occupied by Thomas Hulse; other property in the occupation of John Arrowsmith and Thomas Chatterton; other lands in Sandbach and Bradwall; his late grandmother's house in Dog Lane, Middlewich. The release contains a detailed enumeration of the lands to be settled on Mary Hulse; the rest to be at the free disposal of JH. The lands to be settled to be disencumbered within two years.
