The property comprises:- a messuage called Shaws of the Lake, now in tenure of William Walley; three cottages, now in the tenure of Richard Blackamore, Matthew Maddock and John Latham; several pastures called Great Hope, Little Hope, Two Elworthes, Elworth Lakes, Cookes Neille Lane, Cookes Neill Croft, Smith Field, Beacons Flatter, now in the tenure of John Latham, Thomas Wilson, John Snelson and Richard Smith; several pastures called Two Riddings, Marsh Croft, Three New Fields, Hope Coate, Hope Meadow, now in the tenure of Elizabeth Foster, Randle Foster, Thomas Poole and Richard Smith. This is the marriage settlement of JS at time of his marriage to Jane Barrington, daughter of Urian Barrington. Use of the property is retained to Anne Latham, mother of JS.
