Biographical / Historical
During the First World War, the RCI approached a number of City Livery Companies which sponsored the entertainment of wounded soldiers from the overseas empire. The society also organised three variety entertainments at the Criterion Theatre by invitation of Lady Wyndham, events at its own headquarters, and a concert at the Savoy Hotel.
