Letter from John Hamilton to Sir Harry Parker, 1785-12-03
Scope and Contents
Acknowledging the receipt of a letter from the Board of Longitude inviting him to lay his plans for finding longitude before the Board. Hamilton says he had hoped for half an hour to personally converse, as his method involved 'no plan, no more than gun-powder or the load-stone'.
