Titles of five sketches relating to the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, made between 1855 and 1857, 1855 - 1857
Scope and Contents
Titles, written in the hand of George Airy, for sketches of the Time Signal Ball (matching [RGO 116/6/6/2]) and of the raising of the northern support of the South East Equatorial (matching [RGO 116/6/6/3-6]). While Airy does not mention the creator of the sketches, they are probably the work of his son, Hubert Airy (1838-1903), a physician and amateur artist.
