Titles of five sketches relating to the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, made between 1855 and 1857
Titles of five sketches relating to the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, made between 1855 and 1857

Scope and Contents

Titles, written in the hand of George Airy, for sketches of the Time Signal Ball (matching [RGO 116/6/6/2]) and of the raising of the northern support of the South East Equatorial (matching [RGO 116/6/6/3-6]). While Airy does not mention the creator of the sketches, they are probably the work of his son, Hubert Airy (1838-1903), a physician and amateur artist.
