Scope and Contents

Photograph album, apparently compiled by George Sassoon, with associated loose photographic prints and negatives. Subjects of the photographs include: scenes from a trip to Yugoslavia (townscapes, zoo animals, memorials, landscapes, beach scenes, portraits of individuals, etc.); Heytesbury House; Siegfried Sassoon; George Sassoon; Dennis Silk; Haro Hodson; further portraits, some of University graduates, and townscapes and landscapes, some apparently in Germany or German-speakng countries. Some of the photographs are captioned, a few with dates (1958 and 1959). The album has numerous blank pages. 30 loose prints associated with the album are housed in an accompanying folder, together with seven photographic negatives and laminated copies of a word-processed poem, 'In Heytesbury Wood' and a photocopy of an article in the Warminster Journal relating to the 'Land Rovers Rally, Fete and Motor Gymkhana' held at Heytesbury, 1959.
