Letter from William Ross to the Board of Longitude, 1807-01-24
Scope and Contents
Ross states that he had travelled from Philadelphia to Great Britain with merely the coat on his back and no money in his pockets, as he had hoped that under a 'liberal' interpretation of the Act of Parliament he was entitled to remuneration for his proposal on longitude.
