Letter concerning H.C. Jennings, 1817-11-29
Scope and Contents
Letter from Mr St Durand to Sir [John] Osborne in Brighton requesting that the Board of Longitude consider the inventions of Jennings and remarking that the East India Company had recently equipped the whole of their outgoing fleet with his instruments. He also refers to Mr Jennings' 'very impudent conduct' towards the Board of Admiralty and suggests that the Board deal directly with him instead, henceforth.
