Ordnance Survey Maps, England: 1 Inch Map Series, 1805-1830 and c.1956
Scope and Contents
A set of 49 maps, all scale 1 inch to 1 mile and numbered I-LXXXVI [with many missing from the sequence as only the south of England is covered]. Most have printed text, 'Published by Col. Mudge Tower' [with publication date] and 'Engraved at the Drawing Room in the Tower, under the direction of Col. Mudge, by Benj. Baker and Assistants, the writing by Ebenr. Bourne'. The maps are untitled with county names given. An index map is provided, along with two handwritten lists stating that the sheets were originally bound in [one or more?] volume(s) which were disbound on 19 July 2007.
