Miscellaneous newscuttings, 1915 - 1959
Scope and Contents
A scrapbook of newscuttings, 1916-1959, taken mainly from the 'Blackheath Local Guide and District Advertiser', but also including pieces from 'The Times' and other publications. Many of the cuttings concern Blackheath, London, including pieces from the series 'Local Antiquarian Jottings' by F.W. Nunn, taken from the 'Blackheath Local Guide and District Advertiser'. There are also cuttings concerning Greenwich and the Observatory, and various other subjects. Many of the newscuttings are loose in the scrapbook. There are also four loose letters addressed to Melotte, 1915-1959, including three from P.A. Sampson of the Royal Observatory, Edinburgh.
