Correspondence between the Royal Greenwich Observatory and Dr David Evans of the Royal Observatory, South Africa, regarding the Newtonian spectrograph and Evans's paper on this subject, 'Trial Observations with a Newtonian Spectrograph', a copy of which is included in the envelope. There are also photographs of equipment and spectra.
