Letters, observations and a memorial sent to the Board of Longitude from Captain Matthew Flinders and his brother Lieutenant Samuel Ward Flinders, relating to their claims to have each served in the role of astronomer on HMS Investigator after the departure of John Crosley. Also, two related letters to Lieutenant Flinders from Robert Brown and Ferdinand Bauer.
