Letters and papers from Arthur Hodge, 1811 - 1815
Scope and Contents
Letters from Hodge to Captain Thomas Hurd enclosing proposals on squaring the circle, tide tables, a dumb compass, a copy of his printed meteorological journal and related material, with two copy replies from the Admiralty Office. The letters were addressed from 12 Bells, Bride Lane, Fleet Street. For papers relating to Hodge's invention of a perpetual log, see [RGO 14/31: 238-245].
