Petitions for assistance from Benjamin Workman, 1810 - 1818
Scope and Contents
Some were written while Workman was imprisoned in the debtor's prison at Newgate. The petitions include a poster giving details of his services as a tutor in navigation, mathematics, nautical astronomy, etc. [RGO 14/12: 494].
