Includes cuttings on Halley’s Comet, time, the fate of the RGO at Herstmonceux, new information on Uranus from Voyager 2, SERC open days, job advertisements, SERC appointments, ‘Bayer’s lost star’, the US military and NASA, public communication of science, black holes, the move of the Royal Observatory to Cambridge, a memorial to Edmond Halley, the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) in Hawaii and an obituary for Sir Richard Wooley, etc. Some items are photocopies. Also includes a photocopied article on ‘Dawes, Lassell and Saturn’s dusky ring’ by R.A. Marriott.
