Scope and Contents
A set of watercolour paintings of buildings and views of the Royal Observatory, Greenwich by Christabel Airy, daughter of Astronomer Royal, George Airy. The paintings were made on pages torn from sketchbooks of various sizes. Most were signed or initialled on the back by Christabel, sometimes with captions and/or dates. Accompanying the paintings is a list of five captions in the hand of George Airy [RGO 116/5/11].
