Documents relating to the production of reprints of selected papers published in 'The Observatory' magazine. A reprint file was kept for each issue of the magazine published between 1961 and 1970. The magazine was issued bimonthly, with editions in February, April, June, August, September and December. Each year therefore has six reprint files (with the exception of 1970 for which there are files only for the February and April editions).

Reprint files typically contain some or all of the following: a list of articles to reprint, reprint orders and instructions, a set of rough proof reprints, and correspondence with the relevant authors. All correspondence is arranged by author in chronological order.
