Reference Code: GBR/0180/RGO 37/601

Scope and Contents

Correspondence with S.C.B. Gascoigne regarding his accident; telescope progress; the 'invaluable' help of R.V. Willstrop, who has returned to Cambridge with interesting plates and thermograph records; Redman's engagements, which will prevent him visiting Australia for the opening; and the British Scientific Instrument Research Association's cancelled open day. Gascoigne's letter of 30 July encloses a copy of a cutting of a critical article from the 'Sydney Morning Herald', 2 July 1974, regarding the Anglo-Australian Telescope and Australian astronomy.
