Correspondence on mercury girdle tests, 1973-12-12 - 1974-01-17
Scope and Contents
Correspondence regarding mercury girdle tests, including a telex from D.S. Brown to Hermann Wehner, 12 December 1973, reporting the results of the optical tests; a cable from P.R. Gillingham suggesting that the girdle is not acceptable optically for the f/8 mirror; and Redman's correspondence with Wehner on a comparison of the Sir Howard Grubb, Parsons and Co. Ltd and British Scientific Instrument Research Association band results, with reference to power cuts and optical tests on the F/15 convex mirror.
