There is correspondence between Redman and S.C.B. Gascoigne; a letter from D.S. Brown, 15 March, enclosing 'Test Procedure for Stage Two Acceptance'; a letter from Redman to Gascoigne, 17 March, enclosing the notes on his visit to Sir Howard Grubb, Parsons and Co. Ltd on 3-14 March 1972; a letter from W.A. Goodsell, 22 March, regarding extra payments to Grubb, Parsons and Co.; Redman's letter to Gascoigne, 22 March, concerning a draft contract with Grubb, Parsons and Co. for figuring the mirror to specification II, and concerning GALAXY measurements of the Hartmann plates; letters and cables concerning Gascoigne's visit to the United Kingdom in May; Redman's letter to Gascoigne, 4 April, referring to Hoyle's resignation as Plumian Professor and M. Rees succeeding at Sussex University; a letter from Gascoigne, 5 April, sending his comments on the draft contract for the primary mirror; a letter from W.A. Goodsell, 7 April, enclosing 'Figuring and Testing of Primary Mirror to Specification II', a letter from Redman, 11 April, enclosing a revision of the contract; Redman's letter to D.S. Brown, 17 April, highlighting an error in the contract; and a letter from Gascoigne, 21 April, accepting Redman's invitation to stay with him.
