Correspondence regarding the prime focus camera, including a letter from P.R. Gillingham, 2 December 1971, enclosing a draft of the optical section of the prime focus camera specification; a copy of a letter from Redman to W.A. Goodsell, 23 December 1971, containing his comments on the specification; letters from S.C.B. Gascoigne and W.A. Goodsell referring to Redman's comments and arrangements for his visit to Australia; copies of letters from Redman to Goodsell and Gascoigne referring to R.V. Willstrop's reductions of the Hartmann plates, Redman's visit to the Siding Spring Observatory, and a paper by Racine in the 'Astronomical Journal', 74, 1969, p. 1073; a cable and a letter from D.W. Cunliffe confirming travel arrangements; and a copy of letter from Goodsell to Sir Howard Grubb, Parsons and Co. Ltd, the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation, Rauchfuss Instruments, and Boller and Chivens inviting them to tender for the supply of a prime focus camera and guider assembly.
