Scope and Contents
A handwritten letter from S.C.B. Gascoigne, 19 January 1971, regarding anti-reflection films, correctors, computer estimates and Sir Howard Grubb, Parsons and Co. Ltd redesigning costs. Gascoigne encloses extracts from the Kitt Peak National Observatory specifications for the 'Wynne Prime Focus UBK-7 Triplet Corrector' on optical coating, and also an article by Lissberger from 'Progress in Physics', 33, p. 231, giving specifications for simple anti-reflection coatings. Gascoigne's letter has a pencilled marginal note by Redman on a telephone conversation he had with J. Ring on 4 February.
