Correspondence on optical systems, 1964-09-21 - 1964-09-28
Scope and Contents
Correspondence with Richard Woolley, 21 September - 28 September 1964, regarding optics and increasing the F. number of the primary mirror to F5. There is also a copy of a letter from G.M. Sisson, 14 September 1964, offering help with calculations of optical systems for the A.A.T. project, and a handwritten note from E.H. Linfoot advising that C.G. Wynne should give an outline of his ideas on an appropriate type of corrector. A pencilled note at the foot of Redman's letter of 28 September states that at an informal meeting on 5 October 'it was decided not to go further with second thoughts on F5'.
