Scope and Contents
A copy of a letter from Redman to O.J. Eggen, Mount Stromlo Observatory, regarding the urgency of investigating the local wind structure over and around Siding Spring Mountain, because it was necessary to consider the mechanical effect of wind on dome and telescope and the effect of wind on seeing. Redman suggests using masts fitted with fast resistance anemometers for tests.
