Scope and Contents
Correspondence with R. Woolley and A.R. Hogg, Mount Stromlo Observatory, regarding temperature fluctuations at various heights above ground in Australia. The letters include reference to the United Kingdom Meteorological Office Geophysical Memoirs, Nos 71 and 77. Redman's letter to Woolley, 17 April 1964, discusses E.H. Linfoot and mirror alignment tolerance, while his letter of 1 May criticises Australian microthermal measurements. The correspondence also includes copies of letters from W.S. Swinbank, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, to R. Woolley on recording temperature fluctuations, and a letter from J.N. McRae, Commonwealth Bureau of Meteorology, Melbourne, to Redman giving information on the incidence and behaviour of cold fronts in Australia and barometric pressure data.
