Scope and Contents
Correspondence between A.A.T. Astronomical Working Party members regarding photometers, scanners, and the T.V., Wampler and Digicon systems. There are letters from Redman and V.C. Reddish to A.W. Rodgers expressing their views; a copy of a letter from Rodgers to W.A. Goodsell, 4 January 1972, concerning P. Gillingham's modifications to the acquisition head to allow the television camera to view the slit of the medium dispersion spectrograph; Reddish's comments on the preceding matter, 10 January 1972; Rodgers's correspondence with D. Palmer, Royal Greenwich Observatory, on viewing a slit image by television; a copy of Rodgers's letter to M. Beard, 12 January 1972, on the control computer part of the Computer Users Specification; a copy of Redman's letter to Rodgers, 26 January 1972, on the medium dispersion spectrograph and television slit viewing; and a copy of Reddish's letter to Rodgers, 2 February 1972, discussing the Spectrum Scanner and stating that the decision by the Anglo-Australian Telescope Board to place a contract with the Mount Stromlo Observatory was premature.
