Correspondence on the Australian attitude, 1966
Scope and Contents
A copy of a letter from J.F. Hosie, Science Research Council, to R. Woolley, 24 August 1966, enclosing the Australian reply to the British proposals for the Southern Hemisphere Telescope, as well as a copy of a draft telegram sent by the British representatives to the High Commission, Canberra. The papers describe how the Australians appear to believe that the British are procrastinating and that they envisage adding the Americans to the telescope scheme.
