Scope and Contents

Correspondence with J.D. Pope regarding Pope's proposals to increase the effective aperture of the Isaac Newton Telescope from 96 to 100 inches. Pope encloses a copy of H.V. Skan Ltd's formal tender for 2.5m and 2.62m mirror blanks. There are also Redman's handwritten notes on his telephone conversation with Pope of 13 November 1974. Redman's last letter mentions a new prime focus corrector lens.
