Scope and Contents
A photocopy of a letter from David Kinnebrook to his father, 20 August 1794, describing his life at the Greenwich Observatory. The letter discusses his salary; mathematicians that he has met; the recent visit of the Royal Society to the Observatory; John Crosley's imminent departure to survey the north-west coast of America; two methods for observing the moon; and various domestic matters, including Nevil Maskelyne's family and the servants.
