An undated photostat of a letter from Nevil Maskelyne to Sir Joseph Banks, 23 January 1801, informing Banks that he has invited John Crosley to go on a voyage for the Board of Longitude as astronomer and that Crosley is willing to accept if he can be guaranteed proper accommodation.
