Scope and Contents
Correspondence and other papers regarding the Science Research Council's support of astronomy in South Africa, including the Cape Observatory and the Radcliffe Observatory. The papers include handwritten notes by George Harding on 'Astronomy in South Africa', 28 March 1968; the report of the Southern Hemisphere Review Committee on proposals to concentrate funding on the development of the Anglo-Australian Telescope; and a letter from A. Hunter to G. Harding concerning the aforementioned report, 22 January 1969.
