Scope and Contents
Correspondence regarding the Survey of Transvaal and Orange Free Colony, divided into three sections:
'Administration (High Commissioner, etc.)': letters concerned mainly with organisation, finance and staffing.
'Surveyors General': correspondence mainly with field parties and with the Surveyor-General, Salisbury, regarding instruments, the securing of correct staff and other subjects, 1901.
'Colonel Morris (Superintendent of Survey) & Staff', 1902-1906.
