Scope and Contents
Personal correspondence of Sir Richard Woolley regarding invitations, awards, lectures, committees, dinners and other subjects. There is correspondence with magazines and publishers concerning reviews, articles and obituaries; with tradesmen, insurance companies, stockbrokers and tax officers; with various societies, universities, schools, observatories and other institutions; and with various individuals. The correspondents include Professor Jaeger, E. Jensen, Oslo; Professor Kopal; S. Malin; C. Mayhew M.P.; M. McCarthy; Professor McCrea; Professor McMillan; Sir H. Melville; Lord Moynihan; K.F. Ogorodnikov, Leningrad; J.C. Pecker of the Meudon Observatory; Professor Salie, Leipzig; the University of Witwatersrand; the London Mathematical Society; the London Livery Companies; 'Nature'; 'The Observatory', concerning an obituary for Professor Lindblad and other articles; 'Punch'; Dr Pagel; and the Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts.
