Copies of letters sent to the Astronomer Royal by other departments regarding, among others matters, the minor planet 'Icarus'; prime focus direct photography on the Isaac Newton Telescope; requirements from the University of Sussex for time on the I.C.T. 1909 Computer; the development of a site in Southern Europe for the operation of one or more telescopes; astronomical meetings to be organised in connection with the 14th General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union; the use of the Cape 40-inch reflector-corrector for photometry; preparation of the 'Nautical Almanac'; and correspondence between G.A. Wilkins and Hussain Fathy of Heliopolis, Egypt, regarding various matters.
