A letter from G.E. Kron of the Lick Observatory, California, to Sir Richard Woolley regarding photoelectric work carried out by G.M. Minchin in 1895 and by Mr Monck and Professor Fitzgerald in 1892, and on the possibility of reducing the six colour photometry of stars compared with the standard lamp to absolute energy units.
