Scope and Contents

Correspondence regarding meetings, minutes and agenda of meetings, with other papers, relating to various Royal Society committees, including the International Relations Committee, British National Committee for Astronomy, Sub-committee on the Proposed Institute of Theoretical Astronomy, British National Committee on Space Research and the International Council of Scientific Unions. The correspondents include R. Woolley, R. Atkinson, D.H. Sadler, H. Bondi, Sir H.S.W. Massey, F. Hoyle, Sir W. Hodge, W.H. McCrea and H.A. Brück. There is also a memorandum on the United Kingdom's involvement with the Anglo-Australian Telescope, 1963; correspondence on radio astronomy and space science, 1962; notation for the Earth's gravitational potential, 1962; and material on Project West Ford and long range communications, 1961.
