Buscombe; Flamsteed's letters; applications to the Paul Instrument Fund; the Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope being constructed at St Andrew's University; the 400th anniversary of the death of Copernicus; the Meteor Camera Project at Bristol University; the 'Magnetism of Ships' and other publications; the Shelton Clock; the gift to the Royal Society of correspondence of early astronomers, including Sir G.B.
