Four letters from E S to Professor F[rancis] W[all] Oliver. The letters are annotated by F W O. Two are concerned with the retirement of Dr Scott [D H Scott?] from his position as Botanical Secretary of the Linnean Society. One letter (31 May 1909) is written just after E S’s sister Alice’s death and the removal from Quarry Hill; in it E S writes of the closure of her laboratory and her hope of resuming work in new surroundings.
