Bessie has had scarlet fever and was ‘in danger’ for two days. She may have caught it in Liverpool. She says she hates Liverpool but had felt she ought to see Mary M[erryweather] before travelling to Europe. She can do nothing about Barbara’s pictures at the moment and feels the exhibition should be delayed till June. The Procters are well and she has had a letter from Edith.
