Scope and Contents

Bessie discusses the usefulness of shorthand. She asks Barbara’s candid opinion as to whether she will ever be much of a poet. She discusses John Ashton and Florence, the characters in a novel which she is writing. She feels her thinking is becoming less conservative year by year and hopes that her thinking will become even freer. She warns Barbara to ‘take care of the Cholera’. Two pages.
