The material listed here encompasses the whole of Dorothy Needham's research career. It includes undergraduate notebooks used by D N for lectures and practical work for the Cambridge Natural Sciences Tripos, 1915-19, and notes on all aspects of her research work: from postgraduate and postdoctoral research under F G Hopkins and work in the 1930s on ATP (adenosinetriphosphate), to wartime research on chemical defence and post-war research on enzyme biochemistry.
