Copy of a thesis for an MA in Literary Studies, for which Barbara Winder was awarded her MA in December1996. 67 page thesis, completed 1 July 1996, donated by BW to P D James, in which she explores ‘the position of PDJ’s detective novels in the context of the history of the genre, and its earlier practitioners’. The file also contains a related exchange of letters between PDJ and BW, 1997-98.
