Two letters from David Howlett to the Archivist with extracts in 1869 from the Journal of George Beaver, Hitchin surveyor, held at Hitchin Museum. The extracts refer to Beaver's plan of Benslow House [probably the plan that forms part of the schedule for the Lease of Benslow House at GCAR 2/3a/3/1/2/1]. With the letters is a copy of the Hitchin Historical Society leaflet 'Hitchin and the GNR 1850-2000' which also mentions Benslow House.
