1) Emily Davies to Miss Vernon, 31 October 1873, giving the correct description for Sarah Woodhead's qualification. Woodhead became the first Mathematics Mistress at Manchester High School in 1873;
2) Emily Davies to Sara Burstall, 20 May 1898, congratulating Sara Burstall on her appointment as Headmistress of Manchester High School;
3) Letter from Miss Beale advising the Manchester Association for Promoting the Education of Women on the opening of the new school, January 1873.
