Scope and Contents
The files comprise miscellaneous early correspondence, notes, reports etc, concerning constitutional, academic, University, financial, domestic and social matters.
File 1 includes:
1) Letter from Miss Townshend concerning the Little-Go, 1871;
2) Book of those invited to Girton ‘At Home’ 1897;

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Part of a collection of papers stored in a cellar in College in a black wooden chest, probably since the early thirties, found by the College housekeeper in 1990. A rough list of the contents of the black chest had been made in 1938.
