Virginia Woolf: collected file, 1928 - 1991
Scope and Contents
Material collected for Eileen Atkins’ performance of A Room of One's Own at College in 1989, including:
1) 2 letters from Virginia Woolf to Irene M Biss about her lecture at Girton, 1928;
2) notes about the society she came to address, ODTAA [an elite undergraduate society possibly run by Queenie Leavis, the name probably being a reference to John Masefield's 1926 novel, 'One Damned Thing After Another'];
3) Muriel Bradbrook's (and others) memories of her visit;
4) Photograph of the title-page of the manuscript of 'Women in Fiction', provided by the Fitzwilliam Museum (1 x b/w print 26.5cm x 20.5cm).
