Reference Code: GBR/0271/GCRF 8/2/24

Scope and Contents

A study of the entrants to the three women's colleges in 1958, undertaken with a grant from the University Chest under the aegis of the Department of Human Ecology.
This was a parallel study to one carried out by Brian W Davy (Queens’ College, MA 1953) who was Health Service Officer, Cambridge University Health Service (Department Human Ecology and University Health Service) in 1957. Brian Davy's was an investigation into the life and work of about 500 male undergraduates who formed the 1952 intake of five (unnamed) men's colleges. His research was assisted by grants from the Pinsent Darwin Fund and the MRC.
The information for Sisson's study was gathered by questionnaire [location of these is unknown].
