Scope and Contents
1) John Burns Poster. The text on the poster reads, 'Taxation and representation go together for men and women alike. This is the liberalism John Burns stands for. Women of Britain are waiting for you John Burns to see that the minority in the cabinet does not abuse liberal principles'.
2) 'The Vote' poster. An enlarged front page of The Vote Number 125, Saturday 16 March 1912, with the headline 'On Guard! Special Crisis Number'.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
John Burns poster given by the Mistress, Marilyn Strathern 1999. The Vote poster given by Professor Liz Stanley, July 2005. Both posters were originally owned by Joyce Evans (the Mistress's mother), a member of the Women's Freedom League.
