Typed extracts, mainly about Herbert's visits to his sister at Girton. The extracts include: Miss Welsh's 'At Home', 1886; his sister's (whom he calls Elsa) Tripos result, 1886; Agnata Ramsay's success in the Classical Tripos, 1887; the Oxford and Cambridge Ladies tennis match at Harrow, 1886.

Biographical / Historical
Herbert Walter Macklin was at St John's 1885-1888. He was the younger brother of Helen Macklin who was at Girton 1883-1886. Herbert's diary was transcribed by his granddaughter, Susan Macklin who extracted references to Girton.
